Restaurant La Morutiere

Great ambiance, service, view (location). I understand the COVID challenges, so don't mind paying more. We started off great, with the bread and Melba toast at our table. The cod appetizer tasted great too. Our main course was tasty and satisfying, but I would provide a few large Shrimo, instead of many small ones. Then I would provide a few large Scallops, instead of many small ones. The linguine was also slightly overcooked, resulting in it being mushy. Dessert was good (Sugar Pie), but it tasted store bought. Overall 4 stars though; some redeeming factors. Rating modified after I realized the Shrimp and Scallops are common for the region.

Running a restaurant of this size with only 2 waitresses is tough, they try their best but it's not satisfactory. The breakfast menu is average and competes with Denny's. Be cautious of the crepes, as they turned out to be more like flapjacks with a small amount of maple syrup. Sitting on the outdoor deck is a redeeming quality, but it's more cost-effective to grab something from the local bakery and enjoy it in the waterfront park with stunning scenery.

Visitor information center suggested this place for vegetarian food, however there were not any veg food on the menu. The waitress was nice and helpful though we dont understand French. She suggested that they can make Spaghetti without adding meat, however it was too oily. Veg soup and coffee was good.

Great restaurant with excellent view to the Roche Percé. The service was a bit slow but the waitress was excellent and super nice. The food was delicious. Really recommend it.

The staff at this restaurant is incredible, they are very accommodating and understanding of dietary restrictions. The fish dishes are absolutely delicious.

It was not that busy but we received extremely slow and poor service, waiting over an hour for two club sandwich orders.
