This restaurant in an old stone house in Pointe-Claire has charm, but our party was quite disappointed with the food and service, which shouldn’t be the case with the prices being charged here. Several of us ordered veal and we were served absolutely enormous chops that weren’t particularly flavourful. It’s almost as if the chefs were counting on the size of the serving to impress, but no one was even able or interested in finishing their meals. This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The food, wine selection, and cocktails were great. I really recommend getting the French onion soup and the gnocchis (the sauce for the gnocchis was to die for). Moreover, the staff were extremely friendly. I bought a gift certificate for my parents to enjoy a nice meal and this was definitely the best place to give them that gift certificate. In addition, you have parking right in front of the restaurant which is a big bonus. Tip: I would suggest making a reservation in advance as this restaurant is quite popular. We dined at Le Gourmand last night, August 4, 2021, for our Anniversary Dinner. Upon entering, we wore masks and once seated at our table, they could be removed. The tables were well spaced, and the food and service were excellent. We started with the beet salad and crab cakes, both delicious. The duck and salmon dishes we ordered were also very good. It was a lovely romantic setting on the terrace, our first restaurant experience since COVID. We enjoyed being out for dinner and were glad we chose Le Gourmand. Cheers!

I've only been here a handful of times but every time I've gone, I have greatly enjoyed the experience. The ambiance is relaxed and refined, but unpretentious, while the food is *always* excellent. The staff here are incredibly easygoing and willing to make substitutions and accomodations that suit your particular dietary needs (which is highly appreciated as I have many severe food allergies). I'll have to start coming more often than once a year, I think.
This place is good, and has the potential to be great. The location is great and the place is really charming. Staff and service was great and food was good. That being said, there is room for improvement when it comes to the food. The salad was missing some “pep” and the main dishes were a bit too salty. We will definitely give this place a second chance!
I called last minute to see if we can get some appetizers and drinks by the bar. My boyfriend has never been before and had the most incredible experience. Everyone around was so friendly and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. It really is such a beautiful restaurant. The staff was professional and engaging. I highly recommend this place
This incredible restaurant is situated in Pointe-Claire village near the water. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is fantastic, thanks to Laetitia, Sofía, and Bob. They have a lovely heated terrace that can be covered in case of rain. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful restaurant. Cozy country atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive. Drinks and wine were great. The food was fantastic offering unique flavor profiles that worked well together. Definitely will be going back and thanks for a wonderful evening.
