We have visited Riquewihr a number of times and decided to stop by this weekend as well. We were surprised to find the town almost dead with empty streets, probably due to low season and not appealing weather. Most of the restaurants were closed, so...not having many options to choose we ate at Au Vignoble. Located in a small side street, it is a tiny restaurant in the basement of an old building. It doesn't have more than 6-8 tables. We were the only customers so without any further references we had low expectations. The specialties are the Alsacienne dishes (tarte flambée, potato röstis, choucroutte... . We ordered a tarte flambée with Munster cheese and a Muster cheese rösti. It took quite a while to get the food (at least 15 minutes which can be considered good (dishes are cooked fresh after ordering or bad (only a table with 2 guests and takes long time to get the food . Once food arrived I have to say the food was pretty good (although not remarkable and portions are very generous. Service is kind although slow as already mentioned. I don’t know if I would go back to this restaurant if other options were also available, but at least we had a decent and correct meal.
Nous avons visité Riquewihr lors d'un voyage organisé par Shearings en Suisse et nous nous sommes arrêtés ici pour une visite. Malheureusement, c'était un dimanche, donc la plupart des endroits étaient fermés. Cependant, nous avons trouvé un petit restaurant de type bistrot. Il était plutôt fréquenté par les habitants, mais nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux de la jeune dame. Le service était bon et j'ai pris une pizza flambée tandis que ma femme a choisi un Rostock. Avec une carafe de vin, nous avons eu un déjeuner très abordable. Nous y retournerions certainement si nous étions dans le district.
Les restaurants à Riquewihr sont assez chers, cependant ceux-ci offrent un menu du jour relativement abordable : salade et flammekueche pour 9,50 euros. La flammekueche n'était pas la meilleure que j'ai goûtée, mais elle était tout à fait acceptable. Le service était efficace et la décoration était agréable.
