Restaurant Rustica

the rustica is about as authentic as they can get. the parking space from the front fills up with the local vans and 4x4 's, because this is the caffe of the worker, if it was in england, I would call it a greasy spoon, only it is not greasy. Good...local eat on a limited but tasty menu. Open all year round, which is important in the engadin. there are many posh places with well ironed tablecloths in the opposite, and they would 't come here for a big event, but it is a good drop in and the prices are fair.

Good local food on a restricted but delicious menu. Open all year round, which matters in the Engadin. There are loads of posh places with well-ironed tablecloths in the area, and you wouldn't come here for a major event - but it's a good drop in and the prices are fair.

Um den diversen Pizzerias im Ort etwas entgegen zu wirken, haben wir spontan beschlossen im Rustica ein Käsefondue zu geniessen. Die Käsemischung war ausgezeichnet und mit frischem Knoblauch zubeteitet. Die Portion war sehr gut bemessen und das gute Brot hat ein sehr gutes Essen abgerundet. Wir werden nächstes mal wenn wir in Silvaplana sind sicher wieder hingehen.

So ein Lokal gibt es weit und breit kaum mehr. Hier gehen die Einheimischen an der Theke ein Bier trinken. An ein paar Holztischen kann man etwas essen. Ganz wunderbare Rösti in der Pfanne serviert zu niedrigen Preisen gegessen. Wer kein übliches Touristenlokal, sondern eine einfache einheimische Schenke mit gutem Essen sucht, ist hier richtig. Ich bin in silvaplana stammgast!! Und wenn man für 1 dl aigle 6 fr bezahlt ist das wohl günstig. Gehen sie mal nach zürich!! Da bekommen sie nicht mal einen sirup gratis!!!!Und die küche im rustica ist exellent und preisgünstig. Gemütlich ist es dort auch!!!

Friendly small cafe which seemed popular with the locals, although a shame it closed in the evenings at 8pm. We ate there on two occasions, and had excellent rosti one night, and a very tasty pesto pasta dish the second night - both much enjoyed.

Ein halbeli Weisswein Aigle für 30 CHF! Völlig überrissen ! Zudem fanden wir es sei eine Ungemütliche Atmosphäre . Das Essen haben wir dann sein lassen.
