We were in the castle cellar for the first time last night. We had no reservation, but there was enough room. The food came fast and was very delicious and fresh. Very attentive nice staff, extra-whites were received, very cozy and quiet ambience. We felt very comfortable and like to come back. :
Had a simply wonderful meal here with a large group of friends. The waiters were most courteous and attentive and the food was incredibly tasty and generous. Our group sat outside in the courtyard on a stunning night, the atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend.
price-performance harmonious. Food tastefully and optically well prepared. Service polite and accommodating. Reservations in the outdoor area strongly recommend. The outdoor area is park-like and also pleasantly shaded and recommended at high temperatures.

The restaurant is nice arranged and the food also nice. You can choose indoor or outdoor table where you can enjoy the botanical garden. The restaurant have connection to the tower museum where you can see Giessen city.
We were lucky to get a table on a Saturday night, the food was excellent like beer and service, fantastic atmosphere as you would expect in a celler. Look forward to a return!
The castle cellar is one of the best restaurants in Gießen. The dishes are freshly prepared. The menu includes seasonal dishes. Very friendly service.
