It' s one of the 2 restaurants in Kempinski Hotel das Tirol and located on the 1st floor, also serves breakfast in the morning. It' s expensive and fine-dining restaurant for dinner and not serve lunch. Mostly not crowded so no need of booking before....In the morning, breakfast buffet is quite enough with many variety of cheese, hams, jams/honey (are products of Kempinski and can buy them). Coffee and croisant are not good but the breads are fresh and delicous. Service is good, food is ok but no atmosphere, some montain view and if I were' nt stay in the hotel, I would' nt think to come just for the restaurant. I recommend; Wiener Schnitzel Lamb stew Average; Cheese dumpling Pinzgauer Entre...
How difficult can it be to make a good steak? It seems too difficult for the restaurant in Kempinski. Beef was almost unbeatable. I had to leave a third for fat and sin. Some of my friends have to leave half. And the accompaniment? Celery root puré (ok as such), but nothing more. Boring. The staff was not impressive. One and only (at this time) uses more than ten minutes to serve water to our four tables. And then the white wine took a while to be served. And the meat came long before we got a red wine in the glass. Something amateur. Dinner was Wihtout every trace of bees in Austria. Borring. Why?
I tried the entire menu and all meals are excellent. Perfect steaks, fish and local dishes. Very good offer aperitifs, digestifs and of course wines. The staff is absolutely perfect. A very pleasant environment. Classic wooden interior with warm atmosphere in a modern building.
