Restaurant Wellenstein

On a recent day-trip during a visit to Germany my brother suggested we have "cocktails in the Bodensee". We stopped at the newly renovated large Seehotel am Kaiserstrand (the Emperor's Beach), not far from Bregenz (think summer music festival). We parked in the free parking area in front of the hotel. We walked through the lobby straight out the back onto the patio; from there we walked down to the beach on hotel property, to a walkway leading out to a structure on pilings built into the lake. Enjoyed a relaxing quiet dinner here one night while staying in the hotel. The meal was just a little pricey, but overall, we found the food and service very good and worth the visit.
