Restaurante Ribadomar

I was disappointed to read some of the reviews for Ribadomar. This was our last stop on our Galician wine tour and rather unfortunately we had to get back to Porto to catch our return flight so the 90 minutes we had for lunch did not do it justice. Very friendly service and a lovely menu of local cuisine with many typical specialities. The décor is a little old fashioned but it is very clean and comfortable and there is an excellent list of regional wines. I would certainly recommend a stop here and would include it on a future tour in this location. .

We 've been at Ribadomar during our vacation trip at the North of Spain, we 've found there a very friendly staff, great local dishes. Although we tried a seafood they also have a meat courses, and I 'm sure it is delicious as well. I advise to try local crayfish and Zamburiñas (local) scallops al horno . Of course, local oysters are beyond of any praise!

Manolito, the owner and chef of the restaurant, worked with his father for many years and duly learned all the secrets of his nice cooking. Now he manages and cooks in his own reaturante with the same style and excellence his father used to do. On top of that, he's such a friendly person.......it's always a pleasure to visit his place.

Expensive restaurant with uninspiring food, at least for the price level. Quite stiff atmosphere, but a plus for the retro 80s style! Also a plus for the English-speaking waitress but she should have taken over the service!

Went out for supper with the familyThere was one lady very busy on the drive thru and trying to do it all while 3 kids were chatting in the kitchen.
