Restaurante Sausta

Just after the bridge to the right near a great parking garage you can find this nice small restaurant. From the outside it looks like it's closed but the restaurant was open. Around 21:30 the restaurant was full with people. The food is very good (duck /Pig-leg) but the house (red) wine was simple. Maybe you have to ask for the reserva instead of the Crianza. Reasonable prises compared to other restaurants in Tolosa.

sausta is located at the exit of the city. At the entrance the place has a bar and more back offers a contemporary room with rustic details. the chef mikel zuaznabar bases all his cuisine on traditional Basque recipes. break all the schemes of typical roasters, bring modern touches, so desserts are avant-garde.

We've been a couple of times, to celebrate birthdays. The food is good value for money and the staff are friendly. The only drawback is that they're a bit slow. Worth a visit, though.

Love the place. Return most times we are in the area. The rioja is amazing and the service fantastic. We'll be back!

I actually threw out a complete plate of food after spending 15 dollars. Very disappointing.
