We took an out of town guest to experience an authentic poutine. There was one person in front of us and when they got their order the employee took off for a few minutes with no acknowledgement or explanation. We ordered 1 large poutine and one Michigan. The fries were way over cooked and the gravy very salty. The michigan was a regular size hot-dog with a little sauce ($3.25). Cost for the two was over $15 and it was very disappointing.
Was surprised to see that this location was as good as some of the original Lafleur locations (Lachine, etc). Good to see that they are equal opportunity employers as well, that is extra points in my book. Food was great, served fast and was tasty. Michigan hot dog done right, poutine done good but just needed a tad more curds and gravy. Still, was satisfied when leaving. Non-judgmental staff who are polite and helpful.
Although I am an expat Canadian living in the Turks and Caicos Islands, whenever I go back home to visit, one of my first stops is Lafleur. I have so many family fun memories at this precise location. I know that it's fast food, but if you're looking for a great hamburger, or hot dog and Quebec's famous poutine, this is where you should go!
I always get the all dressed with cheese. Last time I devoured 3 after a long flight from Western Canada. My belly felt it but my soul was happy, my friends!!! The fries are the cat's meow and the poutine cannot be beat. Take friends, family, neighbours and ex spouses. All will be glad that they came! Réservez une table maintenant
I have been going to Lafleur for 60 years, well I should say eating Lafleur Dogs and fries for 60 years. I remember the Lafleur chip and hot dog wagon on Bergevin Street in LaSalle, (just before the construction of the first stand on Lafleur St) Hell at the time one hot dog and one fry was $0.25
Stayed in Dorval, took Uber to Lafleur's on Sources at 10pm because we were itching for some dogs and fries. Uber guy was totally clueless but finally made it! Dogs were good and fries were delish!!! Clean and friendly, enjoyed refilling my drink on my own.
Had a couple of their dogs. (Supreme and Michigan) and of course had to do a poutine something about fresh cut fries smothered in brown gravy and cheese curds.
Always good for a steamy or two and fabulous fries! Pouting is the best around and always easy to order and ready fast. Réservez une table maintenant
