Wow... We visited Rise with high expectations based on other reviews, and it exceeded them all. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, featuring fantastic pizzas, an excellent beer selection, and friendly staff. What more could you want? The place has a hint of an industrial vibe with lots of wood, creating a modern cabin feel. The utensils and dishware are all brand new and perfectly match the interior. All of this contributes to a clean and contemporary pizza experience, which they truly deliver on. The food comes out incredibly fast, and we had an amazing time. We couldn't have asked for more.
Now, let's talk about the food—the pizzas were outstanding, as were the salads. I tried the Ham, Roasted Pineapple and Jalapeño pizza, as well as the Artichoke and Spinach pizza. The crust was perfectly soft and chewy, and the ingredients tasted very fresh. To our delight, they also treated us to a complimentary pizza—the Smoked Pancetta and Yukon Potato pizza.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I will definitely be back!
Situated right at the train station, this restaurant offers great views of trains arriving and departing, along with plenty of outdoor seating, which is definitely a highlight. The atmosphere is lovely; however, the food was just average. Our pizza was quite burnt on the bottom and had a bitter taste. The meatballs were only lukewarm, and the cornbread left much to be desired—I’ve had much better elsewhere.
This was my first experience at Rise, and I was happily surprised by both the portion sizes and the quality of the food. However, I did have an issue with the service. It took a long time to place an order for a cocktail and even longer to place our food order. While the server was friendly and efficient, it seems that Rise could benefit from having more waitstaff on hand.

The pizza was excellent once again, but it truly reaches another level when topped with ricotta. I suggest giving it a try, even if you consider yourself tough. The housemade lemonade was refreshing and reminded me of the homemade sour lemonade from my childhood on a hot day. I will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend it!
When we arrived at 6:00, we were seated in the indoor patio. There were only about 4 or 5 other groups in the room, and it was quite peaceful. However, by 7:00, the place became packed and it got so loud that my dining companion and I couldn't have a conversation anymore. The food was excellent, but next time we'll opt for takeout!
Good pizza and salads. Service is attentive and the space is expansive and well designed. Plenty of options for seating. The truffle pizza was a 7/10, the health salad was an 8/10 (could have been a 10/10 if it were less oily), and the pepperoni pizzawas 8/10. Prices are decent and the bathrooms are very clean.
Food there is really good. The cornbread is tasty. Meatballs are mouthwatering. Cobb salad is both delicious and big portion. The only thing is the ribs are little overdone and dry. Because the location is right next to the Caltrain station, it was quite loud at times whenever the train went by.
