We made the mistake to arrive at La Gondola with no reservation on Valentines day. The place was "packed" but the staff was very, very friendly and was able to get us a table after all by putting other guests together at one table and allowing us to stay. The salads and entrees where big in portion and were outstanding. The handmade gnocchi filled with spinach are a MUST HAVE !!! The big dessert sampler was also fantastic. We had a great time and we will be back next year when attending another Ambiente show in Frankfurt. The only advise I have for other guests that want to experience great Italian food at this fine eatery: You need to bring CASH !!!! They do NOT accept any plastic.

The food was excellent. Our German friend ordered the German food and my family got Italian. Everyone was happy with their meals. You really need to make reservations as it is small and they were packed. We did have reservations so we had no wait time.
