I placed my order, it was made and placed on the counter. When it was time to pay, I tried to use a gift card. I was told to swipe it and the cashier said their gift card reader wasn't working. Then the manager came and said he doesn't know what to do so they're not accepting gift cards right now. They asked if I could use another form of payment which i didn't have. They both just stared at me when I told them I didn't have another for of payment. I had to embarrassingly walk off without an apology or the decency of the manager to just let me have the order since it was their incompetence or machine malfunction. I also caught the bus here. The girl working at the restaurant was impolite. When I asked her to repeat herself because she spoke softly, she responded rudely. When she finally came to the counter, I thought she was still helping the guest in front of me, but it turns out the person had already been assisted. The worker did not introduce herself and just stood there looking irritated. She was a thin girl with heavy bags under her eyes.
Love this place, excellent custard and Italian ice. Vegetarian options: No meat here! And almost all of the flavored ice is vegan too. There were two windows opened and a few benches and tables in their seating area off to the side. I got the peach-mango flavor in a small cup and it was pretty good. I wish their seating area was better.

Only come here if you have plenty of time to spare. This Rita's is consistently the slowest in the area.
I knew summer was not over yet because Rita's was still open.
