We had a 6:30 reservation here and arrived to a mostly empty dining room. It took nearly an hour to have our order taken and food served. The server came by once during that time to refill water glasses. We asked for a dessert menu and were told the kitchen was closed. It had closed at 7:00 and the cooks had gone home. However, it was well after 7:00 before we had even been served and all menus and signs indicated the restaurant is open for dinner until 8:00. It was all around a very odd experience. The food was good, the service terrible, and we would not return here.
This is your typical clubhouse restaurant at the golf course. Slightly upscale, however very open to all. Casual wear seemed to be fine from what I observed. The service we received was great, we didn't wait long to be seated. My drink was never empty and our food came out promptly. The quality of the food was good and the portions were on par with what the pricing was. This is a great place to pop into if you want a good predictably tasty meal! Lots of parking out front in the parking lot.
The buffet options included hot dogs without buns or toppings, BBQ chicken, ribs, and some BBQ side dishes. For almost $50 per adult, there were no steak or seafood options available. Our servers were pleasant, but we struggled to get our drinks refilled, and it was difficult to flag anyone down for ketchup until nearly the end of our meal. Overall, the food was decent, but not better than what I could prepare at home.
We ordered take out and it was ready on time. The only issue is for $18 the fish and chips serving was ridiculously small. The fish pieces are like miniature, it comes with 3 of them but they’re so tiny. For $18 you’d expect at least a fair portion. We won’t be ordering fish and chips here again unfortunately because you hardly get any fish for what you pay. Réservez une table maintenant
Tis the season! After a long and already snowy hike, my friend and I stopped by to grab a hot toddy and a small bite. I had a cup of the clam chowder. The Hot Toddy was lightly spiced and decadently warm. The clam chowder was generously laden with potatoes and clams. A quiet moment by the fire was just what we needed!
I regret not checking the buffet price before diving in; if I had known it was $60 per person, we might have chosen a different place. Instead, I ended up with a bill of $399 (even after a senior discount), plus a mandatory 20% gratuity. As if that wasn’t enough, my stomach is paying the price tonight.
It took over 45 minutes to be seated at a patio table. The food was decent, but it took a long time to arrive. The patio itself was pleasant, especially with the live music. However, the decor and furniture haven't changed in the past 20 years, so an update to the interior would be beneficial.
