We went off the cuff for our tea on a Sunday around 6pm. We didn't get starters, just main and dessert. Mains, carbonara and spaghetti and meatballs. Carbonara was lovely, nice portion too. My dessert was fudge cake and ice-cream, warmed, cake was over done in microwave so all fudge melted away from cake, and cake ended up a bit dry, the ice-cream was cheap vanilla. I went to Roberto's one afternoon after we had gone bowling. I was with two friends. Unfortunately I have Celiac disease and lactose intolerant. So I asked for a tea but could I have any other milk like oat or soya. To which the reply was no sorry you will have to have water which I had to pay 3.95 for. Then going through the menu I asked what I could eat in it to which no one was sure. I asked to the BBQ ribs starter who’s are normally GF to be told sorry there are no starters on the menu you can I ?? We had dinner at Roberts's tonight while staying at the Premier Inn across from the restaurant. It was an outstanding experience from the moment we were greeted at the door, to the fast and friendly service, to the delicious food, to the skilled chefs. We used to visit the previous Roberto's location on Lord Street 20 years ago, and it was a great decision to indulge in a bit of nostalgia tonight. This restaurant is truly authentic and I highly recommend it.
Our first time visiting Robertos and it was fantastic. The place is cosy and yet well presented decor wise. The food was brilliant and tasty. The flavours and combinations were amazing and we all enjoyed the dishes we picked. Service was excellent and friendly. My family and I will definitely be returning and we have already recommended friends and family members to give Robertos a try as we know they will not be disappointed!

Really helpful and accommodating staff; we were a party of 13 and had been badly let down by another restaurant. Roberto's booked us in at very short notice and even served our own cake which had been prepared for my daughter's 50th birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Despite the large party size, we weren't required to pre-order any dishes and the food was served promptly and was of good quality.
Visited on a Monday night. It was quite quiet but don’t let that put you off. Ordered a bottle of wine, garlic pizza bread and two pasta dishes (lasagna and chicken arrabiattq). It was absolutely excellent and far exceeded expectations. Came to a very reasonable £52. Staff attentive and quick. Highly recommended
If you're looking for good garlic bread here ask for garlic on your bread. It was very bland and disappointing. Lacked salt butter. However, main courses of carbonara and cannelloni were very good value. Good portions. Attentive service too.
Stayed at the Premier Inn over the road so booked Robertos simply due to it's location. Excellent choice. Food was hot and very tasty. Lots of choice, could have chosen lots off the menu. Good value, good service. Would recommend.

My wife and I visited this restaurant for dinner and had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed a quiet candlelit dinner. I ordered the lasagne, which was delicious. The staff was friendly and the meal was reasonably priced.
I had a fantastic meal at this restaurant last night. The food was delicious, especially the mushrooms. The staff was friendly. I will definitely be returning.
