Great Evening. Had dinner for a group of 13 last night. Luckily we had made a reservation as the restaurant filled up quite quickly. Choice of menu items was extensive and there was also a large specials board. All items were reasonably priced. Had the Tassy salmon on noodles with asian greens. Very generous piece of salmon and heaps of noodles. Other dishes ordered were also of a very decent size and all commented that they were very tasty. Couldn't believe how quick the food was brought out! Separate kids menu was supplied without having to ask and there was also a table with games and colouring in to keep the kids amused. The waitress brought around complimentary Freddo frogs in a bouquet...
I had a wonderful lunch with a friend. It was quite chilly in the hills, but upon entering, we were greeted by a cozy fire pit both inside and outside, which made it beautifully warm. I ordered the T-Bone Steak with chips and mushroom sauce, and it was delicious and a great value for money. My friend opted for just entrées, including garlic bread, chips, and gravy. I tried her garlic bread, and it was fantastic! I will definitely be returning.
Disappointed. Although this restaurant has had a revamp and increased the menu selection, very disappointed in choices for vegetarians, nothing on the menu at all! The chef said they could amend some of the dishes but yet again the choice was basic salad, pasta or pizza, which I can make at home. Please find some creativity Perth chefs for your vegetarian customers, its not hard.
This pub is fantastic! It has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food, with none of that sterile, stainless-steel look. It's family-friendly and I absolutely loved it. It's just a good old-fashioned bush pub with great service and excellent meals. Well done to the Rock Inn; this area really needed a great place for us to enjoy and spend our money! The food was just average, and the menu felt a bit outdated with nothing particularly appealing. The service was acceptable, but the drinks were quite pricey, and I was not pleased with the high surcharge for using a credit card. On a positive note, I did enjoy the fireplace. Overall, I don’t think the trip was worth it.
Visited for the first time on a Friday night. Warm welcome with table by open fire. Food quality and portion size really good. Chef went the extra mile and made me a lemon butter sauce to meet my gluten free needs! We will go back here again compared to other similar venues in the area the food had the winning vote.
K and V. What a surprise, so very ordinary from the outside, the restaurant is beautifully furnished. An extensive menu too. Hubby tried the lamb shank, tender and juicy with mash and salad. I had a chicken breast stuffed with sundried tomatoes, mash and greens. Both delicious and big serves.
