The atmosphere draws you in, a cozy hole in the wall on a dark fall evening. Eve welcomed us with a bottle of rose and some delicious appetizers, extra side of balsamic and olive oil for the pizza crust. How can you possibly decide your favourite dish? The forager? Fireside? Hickory olives? There were too many. The stomach purring happily we turned our attention to the cocktails 'Earls Just Wanna Have Fun ' a dangerously delicious combination of liquids that make you feel like you are slurping a sophisticated ice tea. Tonight we are sophisticated. An evening you won 't soon forget, we already miss you Eve! Rocky Mountain Rocks
The food here is fresh, tasty, organic and great for vegetarians and kids. We generally feel 'nickel and dimed ' when we go here though. The extra charges for mayo to go with the very small veggie plate, or some olive oil to liven up the dry flatbread pizza crusts, seems over the top. I wonder if they will also be charging for the ketchup? Thinking about how all of the hidden extras might be adding up detracts from the experience and disappoints. Shame, because otherwise it 's a fun place to go. The large space can be drafty and cold on tables near the door, best to sit near the oven!
One of my favorite restaurants. My friend Gaël has a brain injury and accidentally gave a 4 star review earlier. He meant to give 5. He has difficulty understanding social situations. Amazing and unique flatbreads and pizzas with plenty of accommodating options for vegan and gluten-free. Their meat pizzas are also great with the Honey Calabrese being a standout favorite. Their salads are also fantastic. The harvest veggie platter is amazing with fresh local ingredients. Love this place so much!!! Excellent service too.
It seemed like our food took a long time to come to the table, I'm not sure exactly how long, but I had nearly finished my $11.50 glass of wine (which wasn't that great). I would not recommend the gluten free flat bread pizza, it tasted gluten free and required a lot of chewing (my jaw was sore at the end). Be forewarned that this is a very family oriented restaurant it seems if you come after 8:00 there will be a lot less children running around.
Visited two days in a row, their pizzas are so good!. I’ve been looking for a place like this for a while, closest we had like this its been at Double zero in Calgary. The crust is thin, crunchy, dry artisan style, great topics/ flavours and just like pizzas should be. And the eggs benedict are epic! Srsly the best we’ve had and we’ve had plenty, but none as good as these prosciutto with tomato salad. We’re defined coming back.
The service and food were both amazing! Such an incredible atmosphere as well. They can easily accommodate food sensitivities, such as dairy and gluten, while maintaining the delicious quality of their food. Our waitress, Heidi, was incredible and super helpful with both our food and local shopping knowledge.
Most underrated pizza place in KITS! Tons of delicious, freshly made pizza pasta options (including Vegan, Gluten-free) The staff is super friendly, environment is nice and clean. If you live nearby Kitsilano, it’s definitely a must try! Strongly recommended. Keep it up Rocky Mountain!
