The staff was quite rude during our visit. We barely had 20 minutes in the venue. I was the sober one, watching a friend greet someone she knew when a staff member approached and asked them to move. Before she even had a chance to comply, security was all over her, trying to kick her out. While she was drunk, she was managing fine and was just dancing until they started bothering her for no apparent reason. It felt like there was something strange happening there. Well, went in day time where bartender larona charged us for others drinks, saying she thought they were with us, we just walked in, other patrons had a dog and had been there a while. Then while playing pool same bartender states she can take me down, because shes bigger than me and I had to laugh, as I told her size doesnt matter. Then the juke box start playing every rap song probably on their that i didnt order, even tho im only black woman there. Yeah lets just say, it was a complete let down, all I wanted to do was have a drink and play pool not get accosted with racism on monday afternoon.
I love going to Rocky 's. Great mix of all ages. The only reason you wouldn 't like it is they don 't put up with people who don 't follow the rules. Anyone who has left a bad review has done so after being asked to leave or physically removed. I always feel safe there and have a great time doing karaoke. I have a great time with people of all ages. We all get along and have lots of laughs. The staff is great and treat me like family. It 's my Cheers .
The bartenders here pressure you to leave larger tips, which is quite off-putting. They also tend to mistakenly charge you for drinks that aren't yours. My designated driver, who only had water all night, was kicked out by the bouncer for being "too drunk," despite the bartender confirming he hadn't had any alcohol. I love this place. Great music in the main bar, aweso.e karaoke and DJs that really know how to bring it. The day staff are the best. They really pay attention to the patrons and always get tips. Night staff is awesome to but they are very busy making sure that everyone is safe and having a good time. The bouncers, uuuggggjhhh... are, well, very approachable. And huggable when you get the chance.
DO NOT BOTHER GOING HERE TO SING! The sound system was horrible and it seemed that the only time you could hear anyone sing was when the D.J. sang herself! And trust me, she thought she was the greatest singer but she really sucked. I think the doorman got to sing more than my friend did! (who, by the way, is a fantastic singer) The doorman? Not so much. Won't be going back.
I used to come here when I was younger and have been back a few times recently. The singers are decent, and the atmosphere is fun. If you're hoping for a performance like Beyoncé's, you might want to stay home. The host at the door is really friendly, and the bartender is a blast.
