Driving into Wharton I felt a different sense of ambiance. Everything felt more laid back like a rural small town in the US. You don’t really get a lot of that in North Jersey. Any who, I was craving something to eat and happened to stumble upon this shop. It felt like a step back into history when I walked in. The owner was super friendly and explained to me how pasties came from the Cornish miners who immigrated here from England to mine. Hopefully still fantastic as ever. Little history: I ate Rocky's Pasties since mid 1950"s till I left the state in the late 90's and I still savor their deliciousness. When I was younger would walk down from the top of Mine Hill to just buy 2 and eat them both on the front step. As I grew older and worked for the local phone co. I would have Rocky's Pasties at least twice a week, some times to late he would be sold out. That led to a quest to find them in any local business that may have any left. Stuffed cabbage and pasties are great. Kind of place you can count on for homemade food with quality ingredients. Staff are always nice and prices are reasonable considering high quality of products they sell. Stop by and see why they’ve been here for decades.
WOW!!! Food was delicious, and it's obvious why they've been around for a century! So much care goes into making the products...high-quality ingredients and hand preparation. Met Tom and his niece, and they were so fun.

Always loved Rocky’s pasties since I was a kid and the quality remains the same. The last time I was there I talked with the guy at the counter he was super friendly.
Absolutely delicious !!! I've been eating these pasties for the last 20 years !!!! It's snowing so headed there today for some yum yums !!! True gem in Wharton !!!

This may be as close to heaven as I ever get! The pasties are crazy delicious. Rocky’s will be a mandatory stop every time I come to NJ.
