I did not know what to expect coming here but saw the grand opening sign and decided to grab dinner on the way home. Turned out they are pretty darn good.This is not gourmet high end pizza nor is it low end delivery franchise cheap pizza.We got 2 Supreme style pizzas and some wings. It was around 30 bucks due to some sale. Which almost scared me due to being priced low. Let's be honest price does lower expectations nowadays.The ingredients were great, very fresh,the sausage on the pizza was great and the sauce had this sweet taste we really enjoyed. Quick delivery, quality ingredients, mediocre pizza.Had delivery from here twice now, and both times they 've gotten it to my door quite quick. The first time was right after they opened, so it 's nice to see that the delivery speed wasn 't an opening week fluke.The pizza is nice, fairly high quality with pretty decent ingredients. Think of Romeo 's as similar to any other of the smaller franchises in town Blackjack, Pudge Bros etc. The prices seem fairly inline with those places too.My only complaint was that the crust was fairly unremarkable, and a little 'doughy ', particularly if you order their deep dish which has a thicker crust to begin with. It 's a shame to have quality ingredients...
For my first visit, I requested my pizza to be ready by 6:00 PM, and it was finished just in time at 5:59! The staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered a thin crust pizza, and it was crispy, although it could have been a little crunchier for my taste. The toppings were generous, but they didn't really stand out. As for the sauce, yes, it is sweet! I was aware of that from previous reviews, and I personally enjoy it, as I also like sweet wine. However, it might be a bit too sweet for some people, so just a heads up! Overall, it was a good pizza at a reasonable price, and I will definitely return.
Should have picked it up. Instead I chose delivery. I placed my order at 6pm with estimated 45 minutes. At 6:48 I get an email stating that the pizza is on the way. At 7:30 still no pizza. The pizza finally came but it was completely cold. I haven't had this experience before. We liked this place but it's not worth a 1.5 hour wait. Last time they delivered it was less than 30 minutes. Avoid delivery at all cost. Ordered on an expected busy night (AVS playoffs). Got an expected time of 75 min which is reasonable on a busy night. Got notified at 60 min the order was with a driver great. 30 min later no delivery. Called and assured it was on the way. 15 min later, no delivery. Called and assured it was on its way. 10 min later, delivery arrived 1hr and 50 min from order and 50 min from delivery notice. And of course the order was wrong.
We decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews and its convenience, but we were disappointed. The pizza crust had an overwhelming smoky flavor, and the toppings tasted more like raw ingredients you'd find in a Chinese dish. Even after baking it again, the vegetables remained undercooked, and the dough was still dry. Next time, I would rather make the extra effort to go to Pizza Alley for a quality pizza.
Dont feel like cooking tonight? Try Romeo's at 3352 Youngfield. The food is fresh to order and their sauce is the best I've ever had! I have the meatballs with sauce and cheese at least twice a week! A go-to lunch spot for the past several months. The Stromboli is excellent. Reading through the reviews, it appears that the sauce can be polarizing. (I personally think it is delicious. We have added Romeo's to the office catering list, which should give a broader sample size on the sauce debate. I may update if I get additional feedback. Réservez une table maintenant
they accused me like $5 and some changes for a single SMALL pizza. the cache was lawfully the size of a disc tombstone pizza. I would have got a whole frozen pizza for less than this only disc, and it would have been about the same quality. a whole little pizza is just $8, how is a single piece almost six?
