Traveling back from a day in St Florent to our accommodation in Calvi, we decided to stop at this restaurant. Sitting in what had been and was the owner's back garden with his chickens at the end of it, we had a terrific view of the countryside, valleys, surrounding hills, mountains and a fantastic sunset marvellous. This is not a sophisticated restaurant but a real country gem. The proprietor, owner, chef, waiter and presumably everything else, Philippe Rey, apparently had been at one time a chef in Nice. Complimentary tapenade was followed by entrecote steaks cooked over an open barbecue and the lamb dish turned out to be a fantastic neck of lamb dish with pasta. Good puddings and very acc...
