Yearning for Middle Eastern food than then look no further. The restaurant is an oasis, peaceful and immaculately clean. Arabic music played on the sound system low enough to have comfortable conversation. The dining room glowed from the sunshine filtering in. The TVs were off and really unnecessary. Our server was super sweet, warm and funny. Definitely made us feel at home and never kept us waiting. Now as for the cuisine, it was delish! Authentic Lebanese cuisine and so savory that you are guaranteed to finish it all (and the portions are generous). The spreads are incredible, especially the Toum (lookout though it is VERY garlicky). My absolute favorite was the Kufta with Tahini however...
First experience dining here was drastically different from second experience. Here goes... Food 5 stars on both occasions Service 5 stars on first 1 star on second The waitress on 1st trip was so hospitable and attentive. Excellent! The waiter (I think he was double dutying as cook) on 2nd trip was pretty inattentive and rather cold and flat out made my family's experience (their first time there) unpleasant. He made us feel like we should feel badly we were patronizing the establishment! Anyhoo...food was really really yummy so I'll keep it 4 star rather than 3.
You will not find a more authentic, fresh, and absolutely delicious lebanese restaurant in the Bergen County area. The owner Rose is so sweet and accommodating. The food is consistently on point. You must try all the usual favorites, hummus, tabouleh, borek, kufteh, falafel, the sujuk is spicy and perfect. Get the eggplant salad and sheppards salad. Catering could not be easier and the food arrives warm with plenty of condiments. Don’t forget the baklava you need it. An absolute must!!
What a wonderful find! We were looking for a restaurant to meet with friends that had a good variety of things to choose from so everyone would be happy. We stumbled onto Rose's Place and had a wonderful dining experience. From the warm greeting when we entered, to the wonderful service and explanation of dishes...not to mention the amazing food...this was an outstanding experience.
