Very welcoming atmosphere in this beautiful restaurant. Food was delicious - they started by serving everyone a really nice and refreshing starter, which was perfect for a hot summer afternoon. We then had the Parisian beef perfectly cooked, beautifully presented with tasty mushrooms and a divine shallot sauce! All the staff were really nice and spoke French, English and German. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Au Gaulois, tout près de la très remarquable Abbaye de Romainmôtier, on est accueilli avec chaleur et efficacité. Cuisine de haut de gamme, parfois originale, magnifiques viandes grillées au feu de bois, savoureux rognons. Et les desserts sont bon aussi. La maîtresse de maison est charmante et la carte des vins ménage de belles surprises locales. Très petits budgets et grincheux sans gluten s'abstenir.

Mittagessen, Menu du Marché zu Fr. 55.-. Sehr feines Süppchen als amuse-bouche, ein top gelungenes Entrée mit Spargeln und Krebsen, sehr zartes Kalbfleisch als Hauptgang, interessante Beilagen, kräftiger Jus, feines Dessert. oktober is the perfect time to enjoy hunting menus in the gaulois. after a wonderful starter of wild mushrooms, we decided to go for the brain. the meat was perfectly cooked and so delicious. the classic side shells presented themselves beautifully. the proposed lirac red wine. was the perfect kompagnon for this great food.
