Only 1 towel for double room. No sound proofing on walls. Sewage smell from bathroom. 400 volt box inside bedroom with big yellow Danger! sign. Lorry driver cafe breakfast. Men's toilets advertising fish n chips at £5.95 summed the place up perfectly."

Room was filthy, staff rude and disrespectful to guests. Had to change rooms due to the bathroom ceiling leaking brown water, this is after constant problems with our room due to water being freezing cold. Moved to another room at 1:45 am with no help or information. Once in new room everywhere was mouldy and dirty, shower still not working, windows cracked and toilet handle broken. Windows letting cold air in. Was spoken to terribly by staff when trying to talk about our problems. We waited 4 hours just for some extra pillows. I do not recommend this hotel what so ever! I’ve never had a bad experience in Brighton until staying in the royal Albion hotel

I'm giving this hotel a good review and here's why: they gave us a huge, spacious double room for £50 a night, right in front of Brighton pier and the beach. The room was fairly well decorated, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom could have been cleaner. Some parts of the hotel are nice, some parts are shabbier. The hotel recommended the NCP car park a ten minute walk away. Unfortunately I was not able to access the hotel guest reduction because the parking app did not work at the barriers and I had to pay £65 (2 days) rather than the anticipated £40. Service: 4
