This was my first visit back since the pandemic, and unfortunately, it seems to have lost some of its charm. Everything is still in place, but things just feel a bit slower and less vibrant. A small group of us went on a Saturday night (I know, surge pricing). We tried the Mongolian grill, sushi, crab legs, and the usual Chinese buffet favorites. My in-laws wanted to go Royal Buffet to celebrate their wedding anniversary. The look of this restaurant is very elegant. When you enter the huge lobby there is a giant fountain that was out of service for renovation when we visited. I was amazed at the enormity of the food choices. There was an entire portion just dedicated to sushi. There were areas for hibachi, Americanized Chinese, crepes, dessert, and much more. I could only scratch the surface of their offerings before I was too full to continue. The sushi was phenomenal. The sesame chicken, pepper steak were great. The shrimp was soft and overcooked. This is the largest Asian buffet I've experienced outside of Las Vegas! There's something for everyone here, with a broad selection of hot dishes, seafood, cold items, and hibachi. The sushi was average, which is typical for buffets. Our server was attentive, keeping our table clear of dirty plates and refilling our drinks. I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice variety of dim sum, including braised chicken feet—a childhood favorite of mine. This place is perfect for groups or families with hungry teens. The layout is spacious and brightly lit, which I appreciate since I’m not a fan of dimly lit restaurants. I didn’t check the bathrooms, though.

I’ve seen a number of low ratings for Royal Buffet, but for a $35 lunch, the menu offers an impressive variety of options. You’ll find everything from soups, steamed crabs, shellfish, shrimp, scallops, sushi, fish, salmon, pastries, hibachi stations, fresh seafood, pork, beef, ice cream, fruits, desserts, and much more. Expecting a six-star service at a $35 buffet seems unrealistic. I visit Royal Buffet about twice a year, and it’s always packed with customers. If you plan to come, make sure to skip a meal beforehand and come hungry to fully enjoy the extensive menu!
Although buffets might feel a bit old-fashioned nowadays, Royal Buffet provides great value for what you pay. If you want a diverse selection without spending too much, this is the place to go! The roomy dining area ensures you won’t have to wait for a table, which is perfect for bigger groups. The restaurant is generally clean too. While the food quality isn’t remarkable, it’s acceptable for a buffet. Overall, everything was just average—not bad, but not outstanding either. I especially liked the sushi rolls, soft shell crab, and duck.
I've visited this restaurant several times and recently went with a group of seven. I really enjoy the food and the variety offered. I've never had issues with tipping, but during our last visit, we paid in cash and didn't provide the exact amount. I asked for change, but the server never returned it. It seems like common sense to give change back, right? Instead, the server took the money and didn't come back, almost as if they were trying to avoid us.
My first time here, very unhappy. Food was COLD, did not enjoy my meal at all. The food that was prepared at the grill was not even good. Really disappointed. We paid around 160$ for 4 adults. It 's like 40$ per person! Once we paid and the lady picked upthe signed checked, she still had the audacity to ask for tip. She was like tip is not included in check maybe if your foodtasted better and was warm I don 't mind tipping. But in this case it was a NO!

The workers should smile more and or at least look like they enjoy their job. The ladies behind the dessert stands were mad dogging the whole time. I know it's busy and hectic but looking angry is not the best service. As for food, definitely lots of varieties. There was something for everyone if you didn't want just Chinese food. Food was always refilled and warm.
