On my Gold Coast holiday and finding my favourite Chinese dig closed, I surfed the net to find a great old style upmarket Chinese restaurant replacement. I had nearly give up that this was out there as there was not much with good reviews out there. I found it by clicking on map of Cavill ave and the name caught my eye( it even sounded great), hopped in an uber and here I was... I had been craving my favourite Crispy Skin Chicken for 5 days (not to mention before my holidays thinking of my old favourite the Ming Palace was still running) and needed a fix..... Outside seating is bland & noisey.The comparison to inside seating. It is chalk n cheese. Plenty of Banquet tables for the masses inside and saw 3 or 4 two seater tables. It was early evening and no where other than outside to sit. For an established restaurant I found that unacceptable. THE SERVICE BY YOUNGER STAFF was fantastic!! My entree of spring rolls came out quickly. Very fresh!! My main meal was also quick to come but tastless. A mix of skinless chicken & octopus with vegetable and gravy. Visited for an early dinner around 7pm. Shared entrees of spring rolls, fried rice with beef and a wonton soup. All served very quickly by a variety of staff (suggest a key staff for each table) and the quality of the food was excellent. Followed with Peking duck and Roasted duck...delicious. Owner/ manager was observant and overviews the floor and customers. Would highly recommend although you need to be aware that location etc etc etc...pushes up overheads and thus pricing is also up there.

Went here for dinner with some colleagues after a conference. Everyone was stoked as we don't have great Chinese where we live. Everything we ordered from entrees to mains was delicious. Clean and tasty. If you feel like King Crab or Lobster then this is the place. The duck dishes were amazing! Highly recommend
Food was okay but the service was shocking. The waiting staff (may be an owner) was rude the whole time whilst he was having a good conversation with other diners. May be a $70 spend for 2 wasn't enough to satisfy him. Worst experience ever in any restaurant. Never going back again.
Really impressed with the seafood on offer. As high end as you would like it to be. Wok speed is impressive and captured the flavours you'd expect from some hot wok cooking. Good Chinese cooking.
Pepper fillet steak tender and delicious. Service exceptional. Entree of dumplings normal quality with an extensive availability of fresh/live seafood

Service was seamless, food was fantastic. Fried rice was deliciously fresh and we loved the pepper beef and sechuan prawns. Highly recommend.
The dinner portions were very generous. Staff were very attentive and helpful and the food was very quick to come out after ordering.
