What happened to this place? Smaller portions, higher prices and very rude waitress who was also working the bar. First she forgot to bring out the soups and bread. My wife asked for a coffee refill which she never got. Never at my table when needed. Served my wife and I cold food. She dropped the food on our table and quickly disappered. I finally asked the manager to help and she did nothing but defend her waitress who she said was busy at the bar. Meanwhile many other waitresses are constantly helping their tables by frequently asking if they need anything. My bar waitress went AWOL. She then came back to our table and told us she spoke to her manager then she (Angelica)started to call us...
What a great place! As a guy that travels around enjoying great foods and blogging about my experiences, this restaurant does not disappoint! We started with a couple of Sauvignon blancs, followed by the pierogi sampler, and then progressed to the potato pancakes. One with goulash, the other, chicken with mushroom gravy and cheese on top. We also enjoyed a scrumptious steak with grilled vegetables. Ordinarily I would insist on apple sauce with my potato pancakes, but these were so delicious, it wasn't necessary For desserts, the flourless chocolate cake with ice cream and the crepes with cream cheese and some healthy cappuccinos... I ordered my usual dish of chicken liver with mashed potatoes, beet roots, pickles, and shredded carrots. The onions were caramelized perfectly, soft but with a hint of crunchiness. The liver was fried and seasoned to perfection, reminding me of the delicious flavors from my birthplace in Hungary. It was cooked just right, not too oily, allowing the seasoned liver to blend beautifully with the caramelized onions, mashed potatoes, and other sides. It was truly an outstanding dish. I also enjoyed a Zywiec beer. Despite my busy server, they took good care of me. The restaurant was very clean. I gave it four stars for atmosphere due to the loud music. This wonderful Polish restaurant has a great atmosphere and a well-appointed interior with a lovely vibe. The menu is extensive with plenty of options to satisfy your cravings, including a kids menu for easy choices. There is a good variety of adult beverages available on tap and bottled to quench your thirst. The waitstaff are friendly and gave great suggestions, answering any questions we had. The meals were generous and we even took leftovers home to enjoy the next day. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience. We didnt have a reservation on a Saturday night but they were able to accommodate us very quickly. We started with the potato cheese pierogi it had excellent flavor, they topped it with sautéed sweet onion I would have preferred a cooking onion but still very good. The cabbage rolls had excellent flavor but were only warm. The kielbasa was very good and was hot when it got to the table. The garlic bread was tasty but an odd addition to the plate. Service was not overly friendly but they were mostly attentive. Will definitely be back.
When you crave Polish food with cocktails this is the place we go to. Authentic homemade Polishes favorites. Bright and nice. Service is very good and the food is delicious and reasonable in cost. We dined here for the first time based on the reviews we saw on Google Maps, and the meal did not disappoint! I ordered the Plate A La Warsaw and found it to be incredible fresh and delicious! It had a little bit of everything which I really enjoyed. Also, the server was awesome! He was super friendly and attentive and the one who recommend the Plate A La Warsaw.
My favorite Polish restaurant in NJ. The inside is gorgeous with lots of historic paintings on th walls. The service is great, the waiters advice on the dish choice that's always on spot.
