What a great experience. We went early to avoid the rush, and I was just going to have a quick dinner. Hard to do with so many choices. With so many choices we went tapas style. We started with some PEI oysters, followed by Burrata and the grilled Octopus. The octopus was very tender and the tomatillo chutney was a first for me. The third course was the Branzino, Cacio E Pepe and the grilled Ceasar salad. Needless to say we didn't have any room for desert. I want to add that our server helped pick a beautiful wine to pair with our dinner. What a treat, you made my week. Thank you
Well not sure where to start, first the waitress was great but the food was absolutely horrible. We got calamari that was out of a bag but they say was made from scratch Then we order pasta that was supposed to be 2 for one and wasn’t We ordered meat sauce with pasta ….absolutely horrible and no taste was more like hamburger helper and the meal was over $350.00 and we couldn’t even finish it When you say in your menu just like Nona’s…..WELL IT WASN'T AT ALL Will never go back ! Oh and it was for my birthday ….so disappointing
We enjoyed a lovely dinner with our friends at Ruffino's last night. It's so cosy on a cool fall evening, with the wood fire crackling away, and lovely aromas wafting from the kitchen. Between us we had 3 different pasta dishes, and each one was excellent. The pasta had a perfect bite, and the sauces were delicious. It's an elegant dining room without being stuffy at all, and though the restaurant was quite busy when we were there, the service was friendly and efficient. Ruffino's is a favourite of ours!
My son spotted Ruffino's while we were on our way to Lake Ontario's shoreline. We do not regret his eagle eye. The restaurant smells so good with their wood-fired oven. The food was delicious. I have see other comments about the calamari, and no it was not fresh. But the entrees we ordered seemed to be undeniable. My son kept it simple with spaghetti. My husband and I both had two different pizzas, both of them tasted as good as the restaurant smelt. The staff was very polite, professional and quick.
We were really pleased with our experience at Ruffino’s. We came for a birthday dinner and found the value and service was great. Our server Laura was very personable and helped us with recommendations as was the gentleman who opened our bottle of cava (without a pop thank you! . We found the mid week pasta/pizza special made for a pretty reasonably priced meal and hope to return next time we’re in NOTL.
We got a pizza and pasta dish, and the sourdough and peppers for appetizers.They were all pretty good, but not incredible. It’s the best we’ve had in Niagara. I wish the peppers had more flavor, like salt, but it was still nice.The service and atmosphere is awesome, our waitress was very kind, we would recommend this restaurant and potentially come back.
NOTL shuts down early and we were glad to have found this gem on our last night. Service and food were excellent! They make an amazing red sauce and the best buratta. The margherita pizza was really good as well. Service was so good and our server's name escapes me, but he was so welcoming and helpful with menu choices. We will definitely return.
We were here for lunch in early Sept’23 while on route to Niagara-on-the-lake. We were pleasantly surprised by the authentic and delicious Italian food. But it took awhile for them to serve the food even though the restaurant was almost empty at that time. Would visit again when on route to Niagara Falls.
