We have dined at this restaurant many times, but yesterday we were extremely disappointed. We ordered the weekend brunch platter, and as someone who typically eats gluten free, I was let down by the lack of options. The waffles were missing and the pancakes were dense and crumbly, far from the light and fluffy texture I expected. To make matters worse, there was no gluten free bread available for the toast, so we were given dry and stale wraps instead. I would prefer if they didn't offer gluten free options rather than serving subpar meals. We may give them another chance, but it will take a lot for Radish to regain its status as one of my favorite brunch spots.
Ordered a latte, only received half a cup as the rest was froth, making way to strong. Ordered a portion of fried mushrooms which consisted of 1 medium size mushroom, I complained so they came back with another one and said it was free? £1 per mushroom is ridiculous. Then dived into my poached eggs to find they were raw on the inside, very disappointed. I’ve been to this place 3 times as it’s my local and every time I’ve been disappointed by something. Waiting time is also unreasonable.
The menu at Radish is excellent and diverse, and the team is lovely. We were in search of a dog-friendly breakfast spot, and Radish exceeded our expectations. They have great facilities for dogs, including beds, water, and treats. I highly recommend trying the bubble and squeak with poached egg and crispy bacon, while my husband enjoyed the halloumi mixed grill - both dishes were amazing. They also offer Sunday roasts during the autumn season, which I'm sure will be fantastic.
My daughter and I went to the coffee experience at two chimps and thought we would try the Radish restaurant as it was close by. The Radish has an extensive menu and the Sunday lunches looked lovely. We just wanted a light lunch it was really delicious. My daughter had a vegetarian sausage and egg sandwich and I had a baked potato. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick.
