Safeway Vernon Square

I have been using this Safeway recently as they provide some products I can’t get at other grocers in town at present. I appreciate that but find the store layout to be so strange, with cleaning supplies, non-food products in the middle of all the food items the smallest canned vegetable section I’ve ever seen in any store that sells groceries except for maybe a 7-11! That said, it’s convenient, seems well staffed, has a decent selection of products (besides canned goods). There’s even some locally sourced products, which is important to me why I’d typically shop at smaller, independent grocers. It’s super spread out for this reason, so not a quick in/out location. I recently was trying to decide which allergy medication to get when this delightful Student Pharmacist asked if she could help. She was very kind and efficient, got my prescription details and quickly suggested which match would be best for me. Such wonderful service we rarely find at the pharmacy. Thank you so much and she is a keeper To add to this I would also like to say that the Staff Manager in the grocery store are so kind and helpful many Thanks to u all.

The BC Lotto lady at this Safeway location was so sceptical from the beginning when I brought in my winning scratch card. She was also weird when I asked if I could choose which scratch card I wanted to purchase and was very reluctant to show the cards behind her glass/till. Not the best person to be in customer service.
