Our eldest son had told us about this place. I’m so glad we listened to the recommendation. We had the ribs, fried catfish, fried chicken, mac and cheese, potato salad, collards, string beans and corn bread. When I tasted the mac and cheese it brought tears to my eyes. I haven’t had mac n cheese that good since my grandma passed 35 years ago. For me, it was that good. The owner, JP and his mother were personable.My only wish is that it were more of a sit down restaurant. It would be a good place to take the family for Sunday dinner, like going to grandma’s house
Food is amazing! The Fried chicken is one of the best I’ve ever had! TheMac n cheese, yams and potato salad is to die for! I highly recommend! I’m a chef and tried soul food in many places, this place is my go to! The owner and chef are super friendly and make you feel at home! If I could give it 10 stars I would!
Dang! You better eat here! Everything is done with love and you can taste it. I’m from the south, so I’m very skeptical of eating it in the north. This was like the best Grandma’s dinner. We had fried fish and fried chicken and tried every side. Every bite was delicious.
Stumbled upon this spot on my lunch. Looking to spend some money with black people today. Great look. Food fresh and hot. Polite service and fast. Highly recommend if in the area.
