My partner and i have eaten at the previous restaurant (Miss Chu's) and loved the food. we have been to Vietnam before and found the food very similar with amazing flavors.We recently went onto the Miss Chu's web site to order a take away meal from the Darlinghurst store and found ourselves re directed to a web site for Saigon Lane. It says that it is the NEW Miss Chu's apparently still with our favorite dishes and a new menu.Seeing as this is under the banner of Miss Chu's we made the assumption that the food would be as good.I have to say i could not have been more disappointed. I haven't had Vietnamese food often before, but I thought this was pretty average. We shared a couple of small dishes to start which were ok, I then had the beef soup which was the restaurant's specialty, so I had high hopes.The soup was really bland and though the beef was ok but fatty, other than that it only had noodles in and some taugee on the side, no ither ingredients! The bowl was massive but it was all about quantity, not quality, very disappointing. Staff was very friendly but I can't recommend the food.
Had the most delicious time at Saigon Lane. I was in Dumpling heaven with the prawn and garlic chive dumplings, Peking duck pancakes are a must and don't miss out on the most refreshing shredded chicken salad. Great tunes made for a fabulous atmosphere. This got my happy on. Thanks Saigon Lane, my tastebuds are eager to get back.
The locals are being ripped off by the old Miss Chu ( now Saigon Lane ). Service has all but disappeared and prices have doubled. Give this place a wide berth and explore the area to find better service and value.This place deserves to be added to the new business scrap heap.

What a great place, amazing food and service!!! Every time I'm in town it's one of favourite places to catch up with friends for a bite to eat before hitting the town. Really reasonable prices.
I ordered the two different vegan rice paper rolls available tonight and was really disappointed. they were far from the quality and taste the queen of the rice paper rolls delivered once.
one of my favorite restaurants. would be 10 out of 10 for the pho- and crispy pig bell. I also had chicken salad smart, it was fantastic and healthy. great service. I'll be back soon.
eating was amazing. pho and chicken wings are the best. they also love the green rice wrapped prawn, it is unique. also friendly staff. I am definitely back to visit!

rind meat worst phò (dishwater) je. tasteless and qualitatiw inferior cuts of fat chewing meat. plastic spoon. frau chu would have been so disappointed.
