1. **Food**: The food seemed somewhat authentic, but the spring rolls were prepared differently than at other Vietnamese restaurants I’ve tried. The noodle soup was decent, and the thin vermicelli noodles were satisfactory. The grilled pork chop on top of the vermicelli was tasty, but it was grilled with too much sugar, making it overly sweet. 2. **Service**: The service was very disappointing. I requested a glass of water, and it never arrived. Perhaps I was more frustrated because it was hot inside, and I needed something refreshing. The staff, particularly the manager or owner, appeared quite angry and had a noticeable attitude. It felt like we were bothering them whenever we asked for a...

I only come here when my friends want Vietnamese food. I think the food here is just really mediocre. For someone that eats a lot of homemade Vietnamese food all the time, this place just doesn't hit the spot for me. I always feel that something is lacking in the flavor for everything I've tried here. I much prefer Vietnamese restaurants in NYC or Cali. They do have a better interior than most Vietnamese restaurants I've been to, I'll give them that. I never really expect amazing ambiance for Vietnamese restaurants because Vietnamese food is pretty cheap. Some Vietnamese joints just look like a hole in the wall with white florescent lighting (you have to ask yourself if you're at an office o...
On the positive side, the pho broth was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. It had a fresh and light taste while still delivering a robust flavor. I ordered the pork chop pho, and it was absolutely delicious. The pork was neither frozen nor overcooked, and I was pleasantly surprised by the barbecue flavor, which complemented the dish nicely. A word of advice: if you visit with a group and everyone orders pho, be aware that all accompanying items will be served on a shared plate. This was a concern for me since I'm cautious about eating off the same plate as others due to hygiene reasons. I had to ask three times for my own dish and sides before receiving them. The manager even suggested th...
I tried the fried rice, summer rolls, pork meatball bahn mi, and the Pho Saigon Deluxe. Unfortunately, the fried rice was overly moist and didn't have the right texture. The summer rolls, which contained shrimp and pork, were underwhelming; the fillings were so minimal that the flavors were barely noticeable. While the bahn mi included traditional ingredients, it felt a bit skimpy in terms of stuffing—I’ve definitely had better versions elsewhere. On a more positive note, the Pho Saigon Deluxe was quite good. It featured a variety of beef cuts, and the large portion was quite filling for the price. The rare beef was indeed rare, not overcooked, which was a nice touch. Overall, while the mea... Réservez une table maintenant
After living in South Philly for over seven years and experiencing the culinary delights of Saigon during college, I’ve become quite particular about Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant I visited offered decent Vietnamese food, but it doesn’t rank high on my list. I tried the bun bo le, which is essentially a rice vermicelli salad with meat, vegetables, and fish sauce; it was alright. The extra-large pho was quite a substantial portion, I must admit. However, I noticed that the prices were slightly higher than what I'm used to in South Philly. The restaurant is located in a strip mall next to a fancy ShopRite, and while there's plenty of parking available, it can get quite congested on weeken...
I really appreciate that they offer both family-style and à la carte dining. Some of my favorites here include Bo Luc Lac (shaky beef) and their lemongrass chicken. The beef is marinated perfectly, and it’s incredibly tender. Definitely a must-try if you're here. The lemongrass chicken has a bit of a kick but is very refreshing, complemented well by the bell peppers. If you enjoy grilled pork, you might be pleasantly surprised by the version they serve here—it's slightly sweeter, but still delicious. I brought my family along, and they loved it too. Saigon Pho is also one of the few places my husband enjoys returning to, so you know it’s good! I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
My coworkers and I frequented this place often and we were discouraged to find that the place had closed and there is a sign on the door that a management will be taking over soon. Who knows what this means! The pho and food were good, service is quick to get your order and usually quick to bring your food but they were not quick to come back to your table if you needed anything and getting the check took some effort. Who knows why they closed but they are missed.
Service has changed significantly. Just make sure you order the items with numbers. I noticed that the younger generation that work there do not use a note pad. But, the older men that wait on us do. The older men always get the orders correct. They recently changed the menu. The extra large size pho is a little under $15. That's an expensive bowl of soup! Food is average to ok now. This is definitely my favorite Pho restaurant! In fact, I think it's one of only two in the Morris County area. I really enjoy the Pho with grilled pork chops on the side. It's hearty and has a great flavor that isn't oily, unlike the broths from other places. However, I find the bubble tea isn't that impressive.
