My gf and I moved to Saint John a few months back and had been meaning to try out the Saint John Ale House. We frequented the ale house in fredericton slot and thought they were connected. The waiter let us no that this was not the case. We ordered the kettle chips to start and they were delicious! My gf ordered the chicken fingers and I ordered the organic bacon cheeseburger. At first I thought the price point was a little high but said what the hell. The chicken fingers were amazing! Breading was fantastic and the chicken was juicy and and tasty. Best birthday brunch ever!!! The Eggs Benedict were divine! Thank you for allowing me to have them on a biscuit (you should serve them this way to everyone because biscuits beat English muffin hands down every day . And the salad could not have been better if I had chosen each ingredient in it (how did you know I love walnuts? . The Ale House has always been my favourite place for dinner, now it's my favourite for brunch.
I dined at this restaurant last week and the organic burger was excellent. However, the fries were a bit limp and greasy. There was a lovely female waitress serving on the patio, although I can't recall her name at the moment. I plan to return tomorrow to eat and watch Saint John Idol!
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. While there were no vegan options listed on their menu, my waiter was more than willing to speak with the chef to create a dish that I could enjoy. Would love to see a vegan dish added to the menu in the future.

This restaurant is amazing! The food is fresh and creatively prepared, the building is beautiful, and Jody, our server, deserves a raise and a promotion for making our meal unforgettable with his recommendations. We will definitely be returning!
I love the food,service,beer and atmosphere at the ale house.....it's so awesome to be able to eat out and be served local home grown food...I only get there 2 times a year but I'm always super happy with my dining experience.5 out of 5 for sure
