First time trying Sake House today. My mom and I drove in from the Madison area to shop at JC outlet mall. I had Yelped sushi restaurants in the area and Sake House had the best reviews. Well, thank you Yelpers, you definitely got this one right. We could not believe the number of special rolls there were to choose from. I was pleasantly surprised to find a taste of authentic Japanese cuisine at Sake House in the Midwest. Recommended by a coworker, I stopped by for a quick meal before a final exam. The restaurant, located in a small strip mall near my hotel, provided a convenient option for a bite to eat. I ordered the Hibachi Dinner Combo with Chicken Shrimp stir fry, which came with fried rice, stir fry vegetables, garden salad, and miso soup. Not wanting to drive to Janesville I was happy to see something a little closer to me. I'm not from the area but honestly, I didn't expect much out of a sushi place in Watertown. Walked in and we were instantly greeted and sat. It wasn't too busy but it was like 8pm on a Sunday night. We started with Gyoza, I hadn't had any that good since we lived in Japan! Between my hubs and I we ordered four rolls, all really good!! I can't wait to take my kids!

Food portions were good. Service was great. Two people in our party need to eat gluten free. The staff took time to make recommendations and take custom orders to accommodate them. It was our first time here but, with this great experience and allthe things we weren't able to try, we will be back.
Excellent service! Always had a full soda and our server was on top of everything! The food was good but in my opinion wasn?t to die for. I didn?t like the gob of cream cheese in the middle of my cooked roll. It was decent sushi though for the price range.
I've been there twice now and every time I've left with a great experience. Food was incredible as well as the service. Plus, this recent time I was on a first date and the waitress was incredibly kind and very much aware! Thank you!
The food is just meh.. edible but nothing to write home about. Lacking flavor/seasoning in most of the dishes my party and I tried. Plus the booths are uncomfortable (need replacing) and it is dark and dreary inside.

Great Sushi and equally as fabulous service. Hard to believe in a small midwestern town. You won't be disappointed!!
