My boyfriend and I were in the mood for sushi. We actually got it delivered. The estimate told us it would take about 45mins-60mins. The woman delivered it in less than half an hour. We live maybe 5-7mins away. I got the salmon teriyaki with miso soup and salad. My boyfriend got snow crab roll, hamachi roll and miso soup. My salmon was very good, firm, flaky and melted in the mouth and the sauce was just right. The accompanying rice and veggies was also very good. The miso soup was perfect. Gave us both that happy warm body feeling. His rolls were all perfect. Didn't need soy sauce. And the salad was fresh. Also, all the cooked food arrived perfect temp, so didn't need to be warmed up.My boy...
My wife and I live in Monrovia, and we believe this is the best spot for delicious sushi. The prices are quite reasonable. Their rainbow sushi rolls are exceptional. Unfortunately, we are unsure if they are offering takeout during the pandemic, as we haven't been able to reach them by phone, which suggests they may be temporarily closed. I really hope they can weather this situation. The male staff members are very friendly, while the female staff seems a bit less outgoing, but you can tell they're making an effort to be friendly with customers.
Placed my order at 6:25pm. We got a 60 to 80 minutes ETA. I called Grubhub after waiting for 2 hours to track my order. I was told that the restaurant decided to cancel my order because they stopped cooking. At 6:25pm! No notice to me. They had my phone number and email. They took money but they didn't even give me the courtesy of calling me. Please do not buy from this place. Boycott this place! I will tell all of my friends and relatives in the area about this bad customer service. They are a disgrace!! Hope you go out of business soon!
In my humble and honest opinion, I wouldn't go back to this place. I ordered to-go and by the time I got home (I live around the block), the food was already cold. The ingredients seemed like they hadn't been refrigerated the best. You'd be better off going to the sushi place on myrtle and foothill next to starbucks.

This is a great sushi place in the area. If you're very hungry, the all you can eat option is the way to go. The fish is always fresh and very delicious. I just wish they spoke more fluent English so i could communicate better with them. I recommend the Hawaiian roll and the rainbow roll, which are my two favorites.
I'm disappointed to hear that this restaurant has closed. I live nearby and really enjoyed getting affordable take-home sushi from there. I would often order a large meal for the whole family to enjoy at home. It was such a wonderful little gem in Monrovia. The staff were always very helpful and friendly, too.
One of my favorite spots to grab a bite to eat. It has an excellent location, is well-organized, and offers great service. Definitely a five-star experience!
