Sakura Sushi Japanese Restaurant

we ate at golden sakura for the proximity to our hotel, and we were not disappointed. Our server seemed pretty knowledgeable and confident about what items would be or could be vegan, and she checked in the kitchen a series of times, just to be safe. we ordered a lot of food because it was so much available and because the journey from there to anchorage had limited prospects for good vegan meals. we had salat, sesame spinat salat, noodles, agedashi tofu, gyoza and kim chi that the server was confirmed not fermented with fish. amazing!

We have dined at this restaurant in the past and were excited for dinner. It has been very good in the past, however, today was a letdown. The edamame was frozen solid and the two rolls were poorly rolled, making them fall apart when we tried to pick them up. While the taste was okay, the nigiri and other items were also just average. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. As for vegetarian options, there were plenty available.

The sushi at this restaurant is delicious and prepared quickly, making it a good value compared to other nearby places. I also really enjoyed the fried soba noodles, though I couldn't resist digging in before taking a picture. In the photo is the Roll Sushi Combo B, which includes a California roll, beef teriyaki roll, and the BC roll with BBQ salmon skin and asparagus.

If you enjoy sushi, you will definitely love this restaurant. It offers some of the best sushi in Whitehorse at a reasonable price compared to other places. The portion sizes are generous, and you get more for your money. The Firecracker Sushi roll and Boat 1 pictured here were both delicious, especially the Firecracker roll which I highly recommend!

very slow service, got my food in 45 minutes at an hour, they totally forget my order, great hecht.
