Flew in for the weekend and this place was highly recommended. Had such a great experience, we went back the next day. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, the staff was otherworldly. The apple french toast and biscuits and gravy were excellent, the staff was extremely attentive, and the music was a welcome relief to the obnoxious pop blaring in every other restaurant we visited. This was exactly what we were looking for and more. We would have gladly enjoyed every meal of the day here.

Delicious ,fresh, and creative menu cooked with thought. We had the grits of the day and was featuring fried fish on top with Pico and an up egg. That left me wanting more. There chicken salad sami that was described to as best in the state. With chunky hand pulled chicken mixed so well on a crusty toasty bread. The tomato soup and side potatoes were delectable as well. Chef Sam is an interesting, funny guy as well and added to our experience. It was worth the wait for this cute place.

Breakfast is great, the portions at normal sized so you don't leave in a food coma (a reason we often skip going out for brunch). The dinner club Tues Thurs is a must go. It gives you a chance to try foods you don't normally order and find new dishes to love. Quality is on par with the better restaurants in NY. I like Tues since there are fewer people so you can talk with the chef more (either Sam or Frank). I love the weeks they serve southern food.

Popular place for brunch. It can get crowded during lunch hours. The service is friendly and attentive. Everyone is in a great mood even during these dark and trying times. The food is not going to blow your socks off, but still delicious nonetheless. If you’re looking for a rustic, homey food, then I’d recommend this place

Cannot say enough about the menu, ambiance, customer service, and menu design/execution! From Francis with Love Supper Club (Russian/Slavic) was amazing. Can't wait to try to get in here on weekend for a cup of coffee and breakfast. So pleased to have this gem in our neighborhood.

Best breakfast around ... country style eggs, potatoes, I usually don 't order bacon... but Sam 's is best bacon I 've ever tasted! Can also get grits, waffles, and breakfast sandwiches... as well as salads. Open 'til 3 only.

Came here randomly on a Friday morning for breakfast and everything was perfect- great food, service, vibe and music. My new go-to breakfast spot.

Dishes are tasty and music is good. Coffee is not their best thing and a bad odor gets on you when you dine in.
