Great pastrami sandwiches. Liked the Chipotle Pastrami as well. Check the days and the hours before you head out to the restaurant. The restaurant opens only between 11 am and 2 pm during weekdays ONLY. No weekends. The parking on the street is almost impossible. Drove there to see if there is any curbside pickup space, but found none. We might be wrong on the curbside pickup space as they might have the spaces, but we couldn't see one. Sandwiches are very fulfilling, but you might go hungry if you split the sandwich and share with other person. It is NOT that big as many reviewers seem to write about. A quick service as well.
Tried to grab lunch the day we arrived but they close at 2 pm so we went back the next day around noon. All four of us got a different sandwich and we each said, “This is the best sandwich I have ever had!” The serving size is enormous so you could easily split one. The sandwiches are quite pricey but they were hefty and soooo good we felt they were worth it. Certainly couldn’t afford to eat there every day, but worth a visit now and then. Highly recommend!
As many times as I've been here, I always look forward to it. The most amazingly satisfying sandwiches... my favorite is the Chipotle Pastrami. Menu describes it as: Famous Rumanian Pastrami with chipotle honey mustard, swiss cheese and cole slaw grilled on an italian sesame roll. I eat half and wrap the rest for later. The people working here have a great attitude, always aiming to please. LOVE IT HERE!
This is the best sandwich I've ever had, anywhere in the world. I tried the Chipotle Pastrami, and the flavor was incredible. I also ordered a lemonade, which complemented the sandwich perfectly. If you're in Boston, having lunch at this place is a must. It truly lives up to the buzz and acclaim, which is hard to come by these days.

Having made hundreds of sandwiches in Boston area restaurants I am very particular about how sandwiches are put together. Sam Lagrasse is da bomb. They make perfect sandwiches with the right seasoning and the right amount of each ingredient. Very rare. Love the pickles and the steak fries too.
We just happened to be walking by so we had to jump in and grab a sandwich. We decided to share a pastrami Reuben.....it was melt in your mouth delicious, but at $22 each that is a little steep for us. Same sandwich cost $12 in the Detroit area. Worth the splurge though.
It's clear that they've mastered the skill of efficiently managing multiple orders. We placed our order at the counter and were quickly served the best hot pastrami sandwich we've ever had. The sandwich was sizable enough to share, and it was definitely worth the cost.
The quality was inferior and that’s upsetting if a sandwich costs $8 but to pay over $22 and get stale bread with hardly any meat on it is extremely frustrating. I felt completely ripped off and so will you.

Absolutely amazing pastrami sandwich, loaded generously and served very quickly. It's clear why this restaurant has such an excellent reputation.
I have been going there for over 30 years getting lunch or ordering lunch never ever in over 30 had nothing but grate food
