honestly it's more like three and half. the service would be a five and the ambience would be a four. As for the fish, it seemed fresh enough but they use so much sauce. I like the option of sauce but when every roll is drowned in it I am turned off. The portions were generous but after you've been to a lot of sushi places it is hard to find a place that really jumps out at me. It wasn't bad by any means it just didn't stand out from a lot of other places. They were open and close and had plenty of seating which is always a plus. so many places are crowded and loud. I liked having a private comfortable booth which can be hard to find for a sushi place
Samurai Sushi opened in 1998, I started working at Aerojet in 1999. I have essentially been a customer for 23 years. The fish is always very high-quality. The weight staff is very good and attentive. At this point, I know the owner and his wife, and when they see me, they light up and greet me like family. The key thing for me is consistency and the quality of the food and they hit five stars on both. I had the same waiter from 1998 until maybe a year ago in 2020. I have never seen a restaurant keep staff that long so they must be doing something right.
The rolls were amazing, but not quite worth the cost. For being dense protein meals I understand some higher prices, but it is California and the term sushi has marketed in such a way that fish with rice is only just that. It was marketed well. The place is cute, and it was empty when I first arrived. I was so hungry too, I had two rolls. Super Rainbow and something about Tuna. It was delicious! I almost had one more (Titanic Roll), but they added another party and I didn?t want to wait anymore, so I finished up.
I have been eating at Samurai for two decades now (and drive 20 minutes to get there! . The sashimi is amazing and all their dishes are consistently excellent. Service is quick, accurate and friendly. The restaurant overall has a good vibe. When going with friends, I recommend getting a sushi boat to maximize the items you get to try and minimize the cost. Super impressive!

No one will deny the fact that the samurai sushi has the best location, large parking, very comfortable sitting and especially delicious sushi sashimi! Customers are served by the warriors!!!
Fantastic food, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Hey, I'm from Detroit...what do I know about sushi? The answer is a lot more than I did before I came here! Bravo!!!
