Cute little spot in San Marino. I was craving a good salad and heard this place has delicious options so I decided to give it a try. I got the marketplace salad and was enticed by the onion jam balsamic vinaigrette. The salad was $18! That's pretty expensive for a salad so I was expecting a lot from it. I thought the bowl had a good amount of ingredients, but for $18 I was thinking it could easily be split between two hungry people. It definitely is a personal portion. I thought everything tasted fresh, but I wish the dressing was more oniony. It was made with caramelized onions, but the balsamic overpowered the wonderful flavors of caramelized onions. I personally didn't think there was any...
I appreciated your response so my husband and I decided to come try your Friday Happy Hour which is clearly posted on the main page of your website as being from 3-8pm. Even has a lovely menu. Of course we got there at 4:30pm and you were closed. Several other people were outside confused. I'm just saying someone needs to be paying more attention to your digital properties. If you have to give instructions to someone on how to find the soup of the day- it might be time to find a better way to list it. If you have happy hours posted, you might want to be open. It does not make for a good customer experience.
Popped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by variety of choices. I'm usually here for their delicious cappuccino and mouth watering pastries . As breakfast is served all day, it was a Bodega Burrito for my companion and vegetarian breakfast sandwich for me Delicious on both counts! Highly recommended if you've time to wait food is freshly prepared . if you're looking for a last minute gift check out the loose teas/halva/wine and/or cookies .
Surfer J here with another top review! Obviously I ordered the surfer chef’s club sandwich. Delicious packed with turkey bacon avocado on scrumptious toasted toast. My lady boo had a breakie burrito. They don’t charge for oat milk in coffee which is gnarly. I got some baby donuts to go for my dog Marley. I’ll let you know later his thoughts, but he ain’t to particular about his donuts. We’ll back again San Marino cafe for some more sweet vibes.
After spending several hours at the Huntington we were looking for some lunch and nice place to sit and came across this place. We had sandwiches, salads and lentil soup. Everything was delicious but I think the lentil soup was my favorite. Nice place to sit and eat if you’re in the area.Vegetarian options: Lentil soup was delicious and salads were great too?Parking: Plenty of parking on a Friday afternoon
I've only had breakfast and lunch here. Great selection of delicious pastries and hot breakfast foods (such as breakfast burritos and sandwiches). They have a few tables inside and along the sidewalk. You have to order at the counter but they are pretty fast. They have a great wine selection as well for lunch and dinner. A neighborhood treasure!!
Wow, I paid almost $150 for a charcuterie board and it was supposed to be for 8 people, but the actual size of it was so small that I'm embarrassed to even bring it to my conference. If you are thinking about buying one of these charcuterie boards from here DON'T, save your money and go somewhere else.
Great cafe in a popular part of town. Friendly quick service with quality drinks and food. Has outdoor patio and indoor seating. Tried their lentil soup (very savory and satisfying! and their spicy chai latte (not too sweet or spicy, a good blend . Great place to relax and chat, definitely recommend!
San Marino Cafe is very good. The sandwiches here are well made and are very artisanal. This place is compact and almost feels like you're somewhere in Europe. The only downsides to this place are the high prices (understandably) and it does take some time to get your foodWould recommend.
