Sanctuary Inn - Réservation de table

We often dine here and visited again this evening. Although our reservation wasn’t recorded, the team was very accommodating in finding us a table. The staff, service, and food were, as usual, excellent. However, I have to take off a point for the owner’s behavior. In front of the almost empty restaurant and the staff, he firmly told both me and my partner, “You can’t come through here, mate, it’s around that way.” It was a small but unnecessary diversion that felt rude, especially given how few people were there. It’s a disappointing experience and may lead to our last visit.

Came to Bolsover to go to castle but in need of lunch prior to this. Came across this place. It was lovely inside, modern and clean. I was immediately greater and offered a drink and menu. I ordered the creamed mushrooms. They were lovely and hot with sourdough toast. Paid a visit to loos on way out, also lovely and clean. Staff very quick to clear away used plates and gave excellent customer experience.

What a hidden gem! This was our first visit, but it certainly won’t be our last. The service was both friendly and efficient, and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. They also offer a great selection of drinks. I highly recommend this place—definitely worth making a reservation in advance. Overall, I’d rate the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5!
