My family and I have been coming here for years, and it's hands down the best place for Italian pastries at a great price. The staff has received recognition from news outlets and magazines over the years, even appearing on Cake Boss. They are always helpful and friendly. You can't go wrong with the classic Cannoli; it's a must-try. We ordered a variety of pastries and loved every single one. This experience truly reflects the idea that sometimes simple is best and stays true to our heritage. As someone who grew up surrounded by these pastries, it really brings back fond memories of family gatherings.
Sapienza has been my go to bakery since I was a young girl. Every birthday cake, holiday event desert has been made by them. I also love to go in for a quick cupcake, and cookies. I moved away years ago and had to stop in while I was close by. An amazing selection of cookies and pastries. I bought way too much since I'm not in the area too often and am never sure when I'll get back. The staff is always super friendly as well. A great Elmont institution.
