We came here after seeing the amount of positive reviews. We were the first clients of the evening. On ordering three dishes; a plancha, a pizza and a salad, we were let down. The salad was clearly not fresh and the truffle burrata was sour. The dish was honestly inedible and unacceptable for a restaurant. We explained the issues with the dish to the waitress who started by explaining it was normal and that this burrata always has a peculiar taste. There was nothing normal with the burrata, it was just too old and had gone off. We returned the dish to the kitchen, and they offered to replace the dish and not charge it which was appreciated. We were looking for something fast and light, ended up with a large Buffalo cheese, tomato and roccola pizza rather... Servings are rather large here for its cost. The Armenian lady who served us was really inviting, smiley, warm and not pushy or in rush like most of the places in France. Felt like she actually cared for her client's experience. Seemed like there are quite of regulars coming here. Truly recommend it for a cosy and tasty dining.
I live in the area and come into Nice maybe once every 2 weeks. I want to go some place that is welcoming, casual, low key...and I remember how nice Sapori is. Perhaps it's not a super fancy place like across the street, but I can get great food, excellent service and don't pay exorbitant prices. ...every time I have a good experience. Skip the tourist places and try Sapori.
