Sapphire has got a great location in Laguna Beach. They are located on PCH, directly across from the beach and have dedicated parking in the garage located conveniently behind the restaurant (validation required). We've eaten here many times and the food is always excellent and the staff is friendly. Tonight it seemed like they were a little short staffed so our server was trying his best to accommodate all his guests. But I give an A+ to Pedro and the Manager who seem to be working with a very difficult customer/table. Even with that noise in the background Pedro was still all smiles and doing his best to provide excellent service. Thank you Pedro for also making a great wine recommendation...
Our dinners were delicious. We started with the roasted Brussels sprouts and cauliflower with pork belly in a complex reduction. This appetizer was amazing! My husband and I shared the Wagyu beef burger with fries and your Sapphire salad which is a meal in itself. It was plenty for both of us. The servers were very attentive but never overwhelming. I think the attitude of the staff can make or break an experience and everyone at Sapphire went out of their way to make our evening great. We sat outside on their large elegant patio which has plenty of heaters to keep us toasty warm and umbrellas to break the wind. We did not feel crowded as there is ample space between each table. This was my second time dining at the sapphire on PCH. I can say without any reservations, that the experience, the food, the ambience, the servers, the host and hostesses are all top-notch. Not only is it fine dining in an open air atmosphere, but it is fine dining across the street from the Pacific Ocean. The view my date and I had of the Pacific Ocean was breathtaking and it helped to enhance and elevate the experience. We both had the fish specials. I had the halibut and my date had the swordfish. I had such a great experience at Sapphire. We stopped in and were promptly greeted and seated. From start to finish, our waiter Jason was friendly, attentive and provided great service all around. I had the seasonal mocktail which was phenomenal. Best mocktail I've had. Then we had the meat and fish special, I had the beef stroganoff which had the most tender short rib and hand made noodles. Not a dish I would typically get and it was so delicious. My friend had the black cod and she really enjoyed it as well. The focaccia bread was wonderful and I was allowed to order a half portion. Great ambiance with indoor and outdoor heated seating. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

It's a cute spot in Laguna I loved sitting outside! I was surprised that the duck meatballs was on the starters part of the menu because it was a full on pasta entree! The meatballs were juicy and flavorful. I loved all the different mushrooms in it and the sauce was savory deliciousness. We also got the cauliflower, brussel sprouts pork belly. This was realllyyy good especially the cauliflower. I didn't love the pork belly, the flavor was lacking and the texture was sort of dry and chewy. Their drinks are really tasty here! And our server was constantly checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed.
Everything we tried was amazingly delicious. The service was truly top notch and on point the whole meal. The patio is awesome. The duck meatballs are phenomenal. I had the Filet Mignon with Bearnaise Sauce, possibly the best I've ever had. This is my new favorite restaurant.
Wow, everything is was delicious. My pork belly Brussels were cooked to perfection as was my gosh over sautéed mushrooms, which was one of their catches of the day. The server was attentive and gave great recommendations as well as accommodated food sensitives with our meals.
Great experience overall. Very much appreciate the reception from the manager (Middle Eastern man, don't recall his name). He made us feel welcomed and checked in on us a couple times with a big smile. Staff overall was amazing and the food delicious.
