Came here on a holiday weekend so it was quiet which was great. I was not a fan of the decor , I felt that for the prices they charge it should be a little bit more up to date. I hate when I see carpeting in restaurants, it just always seems dated and dirty to me (not that this place was dirty because it was not) We placed our order and started in on the bread basket. It was nice and toasty which is exactly how I like it! I would have preferred some olive oil to dip instead of butter but not the end of the world. I've been here many times and usually the food is very good. Last night I got the veal milanese. While the veal was good, the portion was very small for a 33.00 plate. Also, not sure who was dicing tomatoes but they were very large chunks and somewhat flavorless. For dessert I got the cheesecake, which is somewhat of a staple of italian restaurants so I figured it would be freshly made. To my surprise I could tell it came from a box and probably frozen/thawed a few times. If you know that freezer burn/cardboard flavor it was quite prominent. We went today for my in-laws’ 52nd wedding anniversary. I have had the pleasure of dining at Savini’s a few times before and had a great dinner every time. I recommended Savini’s because they offer classic Italian food in a friendly, elegant atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed their meal and was quite content with the experience. We had three kids with us, the oldest being eight. The staff was accommodating and understanding whenever one got a little loud. We will be coming here again in the future. Food was average at best. Service was terrible, we had to wait over 20 min just for the menus. You have to order drinks before you can be presented the menu. To make matters worse, the pinnacle of my dissatisfaction was when I discovered something swimming in my wine glass. What shocked me even more was the nonchalant attitude of our waiter. Instead of apologizing he simply grabbed the glass without a word. Later on brought another glass back and again dropped at our table without a word. Savini has great food. The scallops are delicious and perfectly cooked. It is a little expensive but the food quality is worth it. There is a bar there so you can grab a drink with dinner. My husband and I took his work team out to dinner here and everyone loved and finished their meal. They do half portions of pasta which is listed on the menu and it’s great. My friend took me there to celebrate my birthday this week. My first time. The service was great friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. Would love to go again for a special occasion since I don't live in the area. Parking: Large parking area no issues!! Service was very slow and disappointing. Ordered a martini with olives. Got one with onions. The salad and mushroom soup were very good. The chicken Savini was idry and tasted like sawdust.
