Scarborough Fair - Réservation de table

Hostess was pleasant but we waited a while for her to show up, and it was not a busy time. Waitress, although congenial, was slow and not very interested in us. She only came to our table when the food was brought over. Never checked to see if food was ok or if we needed anything (pepper etc). The octopus appetizer was old, limp, and tasteless. The bed of lettuce it sat on was wilted and about days old. The chorizo sausage in it was way over cooked and brittle. The seafood bisque soup was lumpy. I ordered the short rib special, which took a long time to arrive, and it was lukewarm. It supposedly came with mashed sweet potatoes but they were almost nonexistent and the anise slaw was limp. Normally I would give outstanding marks for this restaurant but last night was not up to par. We was seated in bar area which was very noisy last night.The escargot special was in a pastry puff. It was chewy with no flavor. The drunken mussels appetizer sauce was bland. Not worth dunking my bread into. The Halibut special was very good I am happy to say. Food is usually very good here. Next time I will request to be seated in the round room behind the bar. Very nice room. Also if you haven’t dined there before there is cozy seating on the stairway left and right side of the entrance.

Birthday. Wanted to seat us at a cozy table but it was near the entrance so we opted to sit closer to bar. The outside seemed a little run down but the interior was interesting. Food was delicious. There were small bread dishes on the table but no bread served. We had to ask foe water refills

We've been meaning to go there for a few years and finally made it, and it was not disappointing. It's a beautiful restaurant and the food was outstanding. Recommend the lamb chops. Don't recommend the escargot. Réservez une table maintenant

Food was tasty and service was great. Was their for the live music. Amazing look of the restaurant. Fancy and clean bathrooms. 5 Stars!!!

Very unique, making a reservation in the future i would request one table going up the stairs. Our server was excellent.
