The Schelling Salon in Munich at the corner of the Schellingstraße is there as long as I can think. My parents already played Billlard here. Since this restaurant is almost cult, it is difficult to evaluate. She's not comfortable, but for a little billiards she's very nice. The rooms are too large, the guests too numerous and the service is also not super-friendly. Still, this pub keeps attracting me. In earlier times she was very smoked, but now you can even walk calm conscience with children. The food is very pleasant. For example, I like the pork roast that costs only 7.30 €. The liver cheese with fried egg is also typical Bavarian and very tasty. Anyone who is in Munich should visit this...
One of the oldest economies in Munich. There is a colorful mixed audience. Card games and chess games allowed! The services are original and beautiful. The food is okay. Only the greedy extremely white LED spotlights that illuminate the walls and "sparlents" over the tables in the evening the otherwise beautiful ambience. On the wall shells even the light-white Spar-Stablamps are pushed beyond the screen! Dimmable light bulbs should be made for a more beautiful light mood!
There's a lot of history to this old restaurant/bar that has existed at this location since 1872. Adolph Hitler frequented this place with Eva Braun until he allegedly was booted out because of unpaid bills. The urinals in the men's room certainly date back to pre-World War II and no doubt were used by Hitler after he was paroled from prison for his putsch in 1923. Today, this is a comfortable pool hall. Tables are 5 euros an hour.
The Schellingsalon is unique. There's nothing like this in Munich. The ones love him, the others find him impossible. I've known him for a long time, I'm regular there and love him because of his uniqueness. He's not a culinary climax, you have to get on him and take him as he is, and the Schellingsalon has its own rules. I hope he'll stay a long time. Because without him, my quarter is no longer what it is at the moment!

This is a wonderful, tradition billiard hall restaurant steeped in history… frequented in the 1930s by Adolf Hitler. We had afternoon tea here, as recommended by our German friends but the food looked terrific and reasonably priced. We were fortunate enough to be the only tourists! Thoroughly recommended.
I am approached in this historic brewery between a penacoteca and the other on Sunday morning. you get easily on foot. the locals came for brunch or play billiards, all very courteous, adventurous and waiters. the atmosphere was very pleasant, I would definitely come back. kitchen in the norm.
We went for a short stop and snack. The place is nice and quiet when we were there around 5pm. Still a few people playing at the pool tables. Good beers and food on the menu. A nice place.
Here Munich comes together. After a workshop we had a great evening here. With billiards, table tennis and the one or the other lights.

A great place to enjoy a game of pool or carambola in the center of Maxvorstadt in between the two universities.
