I have been staying at this hotel a few times since 2020 and have seen how down it is slowly going. The people who use to work there are almost all gone and the new staff is often unrespectful, dirty and unwilling to help. the rooms are dirty and the carpets old. It may be more of a general problem in Switzerland but the price/performance ratio is not good. And the Schlosshotel Bad Ragaz is very exemplary in this respect. The location is really very nice. The price/performance ratio is attractive. The menu in the restaurant for 52 francs does not correspond to what is presented. A very tasty salad, a main course that was ok, but tasted more like an average canteen meal, followed by a dessert with a small but delicious chocolate cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream from the department store. Everything is done rather carelessly. I can get this as a lunch menu in every restaurant for a price of between 16 and 25 francs throughout Switzerland. Absolutely overpriced! Very sad!
