Since we visited in July the restaurant was empty (and by that I mean no one was in there) but the beer garden was packed, our group of six had to wait about twenty minutes for a table and that was only by being overly gracious to one of the waitresses. They actually have two beer gardens, the one closest to the restaurant is table service from the kitchen, the other is bigger but you have to walk to order from a kiosk type setup. Both have different menus and prices. We chose the first of the two and were not disappointed by the choice, size or quality of what was available. If you have never been to this part of Germany before then try the 'Maultasche '!
The atmosphere is very, very beautiful. The exterior is wonderful in good weather. The tables inside are inviting when the weather is not. Very generous portions from the menu. Both the wobble and the carving will fill everyone. The beer is naturally fresh with a good variety from the brewery next door. Every employee I met was very pleasant and efficient. A must on site while eating in Boblingen.
German and American friends met here for dinner. The staff took our orders for a variety of dishes. The beer was good. The carving with fires was disappointing and tasted as if it had been boiled in old oil and had been boiled over. A friend had the mouth pockets and it wasn't very tasteful. I have tried many restaurants in Böblingen but this place is the best. Great Beer, Good Food, and a lot of parking directly in front of the door. What else do you want?
We go here often the food is always good. The service is excellent and very friendly Englisg speaking staff. You can go with large groups also.
Large beer garden atmosphere. The service was excellent, although it was quite crowded. Menu selections are numerous.
Good beer and good food. Many tables are still full in the summer months. Good interior for the cooler evenings.
